You know that familiar feeling when the leaves change and you get that hint of crisp autumn in the air? We're with you! October is the perfect month to get cozy and your home is the perfect place to start.

Ready to find your calm...? Here are a few things that you can do to reset your home and mind this fall as we slow down and get ready to enter the holiday season.

It's that time of year for Pumpkin Spice everything! Do you love all things Pumpkin Spice, but draw the line at scented candles, room sprays etc...? Us too. Seasonal store brands can often times be too strong and overpowering. We want subtle hints of warm woodsy notes and sweet exotic aromas to set the vibe for our fall home sanctuary. A place where we can sit in our favorite spot as we inhale and exhale the long day away. When choosing, be sure to look for natural grade waxes and wicks that are free from (hormone interrupting) harmful additives.

03 Cozy Throws & Pillows
I love incorporating different patterns and textures with cozy throws and pillows. In my opinion, it's the simplest way to transform a space with the changing of the seasons. This isn't about redecorating. It's about finding one space in your home...whether a favorite chair or corner of the sofa and making it your sanctuary. It's a place you find calm when the world feels a little too loud.

04 Grab A Cup Of Cozy
There's nothing better to warm you up on a cool fall evening, than a steeping hot cup of tea. I love my coffee, but I reserve that for the morning time (that first cup of coffee to get me going will never be given up. I don't care what anyone says!). This is a great way to quiet your mind and unwind in preparation for a restful sleep. Turning a space into one that truly supports you.
Just as nature gets ready for the season, so do we. It's a beautiful thing to prepare our own spaces with simple ways to make them feel more peaceful, from changing scents to creating our perfect comfy corner.

I truly believe that Self-Care is so important at this stage of midlife and beyond. Finding time to nurture our minds and bodies should be a priority over everything else.
