Let's make everyday stress-free right at home! Here are some tips to keep you feeling calm and collected.

  1. Don't sweat the small stuffRemember when your mom used to say that? It sounds easier said than done, but if you're selective about what triggers your emotional stress, you'll be less likely to boil over with annoyance and frustration.
  2. Listen to music – I love this one! It gives your mind a subtle distraction from outside disturbances. You start to focus more on the sound of the music rather than nonsense.
  3. Go for a walk – This one is another favorite. It's a great mood booster for your mental and physical awareness while observing the beautiful treasures Mother-Nature has to offer.
  4. Digital detox – Yep! Get off that device. We've become so reliant on them, that it's hard to imagine going a day with out it. Trust me, it will open your mind to much more than what's on that screen.
  5. Declutter your home – Our home is our sanctuary. Creating a calm organized environment, invites us to decompress in a place where we can truly relax and feel comfortable.
  6. Practice mindfulness – Meditation, journaling, breathing and gratitude will re-direct your thoughts from negative to positive. We are often our own worst enemy and biggest critic when it come to how we view ourselves and performance.
  7. Prioritize sleep – I know this seems redundant for most. You might think you're getting enough sleep. A tired woman is a cranky woman. We need sleep. Not making sure we get enough of it is a huge contributor to a lot of the stress that we experience during the day. More on sleep — Read Here
  8. Take a bath/shower – The best way to relax your muscles and calm your mind especially at the end of a particularly exhausting day is by soothing them with warm water and essential oils.
